Chanel flew in 700 people for its 2017 cruise collection in Havana on the island of Cuba. The event itself was a first time in many aspects: the first Chanel show in Latin America, the first fashion show in Cuba, and for Karl Lagerfeld, his first time coming to the island. Paseo del Prad, one of Havana’s oldest avenues, was the chosen place that had been transformed from a tree-lined boulevard into a glossy private catwalk with colorful colonial buildings along side.
